The jungle portion of your journey takes you deep into Madidi, the most biodiverse national park on the planet.
You will stay at Corazón del Madidi, a simple lodge owned and operated by an Indigenous family from the San José de Uchupiamonas community, with the support of Indigena Tours. Reaching this remote part of the park is part of the adventure, carrying you far from roads, towns and everyday distractions.
Along the way, you will stop at San Miguel del Bala, a separate Tacana Indigenous community, for a meaningful introduction to local traditions before continuing farther into the rainforest.
We believe in being honest about the experience. Corazón del Madidi is basic rather than luxurious. Rooms have private bathrooms, but there is no Wi-Fi, no solar power and no continuous electricity. A fuel generator provides power for only a few hours each evening.
In return, you experience something increasingly rare: genuine isolation in the rainforest. Your days include interpretive walks, wildlife tracking and night excursions, while your evenings are shaped by darkness, forest sounds and the feeling of being completely off the grid.

ITINERARY COMBINED TOUR JUNGLE/PAMPAS 5D4N:
After breakfast (not included), we welcome you in Rurrenabaque — hotel, airport or bus terminal — and set off by motorized boat along the majestic Beni River. We hike the spectacular San Miguel Stone Canyon, a landscape of raw, unforgettable beauty. Then we arrive at San Miguel del Bala, a Tacana Indigenous community hidden in the jungle, where you’ll step into their world — weaving with forest materials, pressing fresh sugarcane juice in an ancestral “trapiche,” and sharing a traditional lunch in the home of a community family.
In the afternoon, we journey deeper still, navigating the Beni and the untamed Tuichi (about 5–6 hours of river travel in total) until the rainforest closes in around us and we reach Corazón del Madidi — a community-run lodge in the beating heart of the most biodiverse national park on Earth. This is a simple, honest place: rooms with private bathroom, no WiFi, power for only a few hours at night. What you gain is rarer than comfort — true silence, and the living sounds of the jungle. After dinner, you may rest or venture into the darkness on an optional night walk.

Almost at once, life appears everywhere — caimans on the banks, turtles, capybaras, families of monkeys, flocks of birds, and often pink river dolphins surfacing beside the boat. We reach our Pampas lodge just in time for a breathtaking sunset, with an optional night outing to find caimans by the glow of their eyes (bring a flashlight if you have one, or we’ll gladly lend you one).
